We just started a new “Service Model” that includes Social Media with serving! Check out our facebook page here. Follow us on twitter @TINjax.
Each time we serve someone in the community, we will document our act of service and post it on the websites. We will be giving out business cards with our information on it, and we hope lots of people in the community will look us up and see that a lot of work is being done in the name of Jesus! Join the movement yourself!!
Winterjam and IMPACT Conference are right around the corner! Winterjam is January 11th, and IMPACT is February 1-3 weekend.
Don’t forget these important dates: The last day to sign up for Winterjam is Sunday, January 6th. To sign up, click on the “Winterjam Sign-up tab” on this website and fill out the form. We need to know how many people are going so we can get enough drivers. If you do not sign up by this date, you might not be able to attend! We will be leaving the church by 4:30 PM on this night.
For Impact Conference, you must pay in full ($75) by Wednesday, January 9th. Your payment is how you register.
It’s that time of year again! Check out all of our Christmas activities on the youth calendar. Let’s make this Christmas one to remember. Listen to our audio lessons from youth group about the Christmas Story:
Regardless of how you feel about the President being re-elected, we still need to keep things in perspective. Jesus Christ is still on the throne, and we are called to pray for those who are in powerful positions. There is nothing to fear. “I will not fear… what can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6). Despite a rough period of American history, we are still one of the most blessed countries in the world and should be thankful for that. In the future, we should always remember to stand up for what we believe… but do so in a respectful way.
Here are some post-election Bible verses to think about!
“I urge that all prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions.” -1 Timothy 2:1
“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” -Romans 13:1
“He controls the course of world events.” -Daniel 2:21
“Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s. Give to God what is God’s.” -Matthew 22:21
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” -Hebrews 13:8
